Put your thoughts about moving your body aside, and get up and do it.  Don’t think about it.  Don’t think about finding the time, the time is now.  Don’t think about how hard it will be, just simply move.  Don’t think about it costing money to go to a gym – you are here, right now, start stretching, it’s free!

I hear excuses all the time from students and clients like “I don’t have time,” and I say, you have 10 minutes, certainly.  I hear “it will hurt my ______,” and I say OK, so don’t use that part of your body, do something that doesn’t hurt.  I also say that moving and re-creation will actually make your body feel better.  I hear, “it makes me tired and sweaty, and I hate that!”  I say that moving and using your body will give you more energy if you do it consistently and gently everyday.  You don’t necessarily have to sweat, just using your muscles and bones is a good start.

You may feel so overweight that moving is really hard.  I understand that completely, having once weighed 400 pounds.  The answer is just to move a little; just a few steps may be a great start.  Sitting in a chair and doing some nice and easy yoga chair postures may be just the thing for you.

As you’re putting aside your preventative, excusing thoughts, plant some new thoughts such as:

— I love my body, and it loves me just the way I am.
— Thank God for my body, my mind, and my life.
— I can still move and be inside my beautiful body, because I am a creation of God, perfect just the way I am, and getting better all the time.

Have a physical day and put your thoughts away!

Please comment on some new discoveries of yours, how you feel good when you move and stretch, share the inspiration (which means breathing life).
