Somewhere along the line of my education I learned not to take everything at face value. I started asking for second opinions so to speak, or I take the time to research issues that need improvement or healing in my life. Because change is happening and I am confident God designed what I interpret as a change for the better.

I realized prayer to the God of Christian Science serves me well.

We can ask: Am I going down an unpleasant road? Do I have to agree with the bad prognoses? Am I on the verge of over-eating, biting my nails, or denying an addiction?

Then, with honesty, we can ask God for the strength to start better habits. We can discover an active, wise, humble God along with the strength to transform our routines. We can take short walks instead of over eat or sit on our hands, instead of bite our nails, or admit a habit that promotes wellbeing to our self and others.

Daniel 6:11

New International Version (NIV)

11 Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.
