Religion became easier to understand when I learned to distinguish the difference between the conservative and conservation.

The conservative believes all the problems have been solved and there is no need to do any more. The world has been created. The sacred texts have been written. The rituals have been established, and the hierarchy is to be revered.

Conservation however entails research and development.

The world is not what is seems. Either all things are sacred, or nothing is sacred. Rituals can be dropped and hierarchies are constantly invalidated.

Too often, we think religion and science are the source of spiritual healing. This is backward thinking. Spiritual healing happens, and religion and science are effective only when they adapt to the challenges of the world developments.

Basically, through research and development, the infrastructure for a healing religion or science is reconfigured to cope with the growing accounts of spiritual healing.

From 21st Century Science and Health, “As time moves on, the healing elements of pure spirituality will be honestly dealt with. Mind-healing will be researched and taught and will sparkle in all the elegance of universal goodness.”
