Spiritual lecturer and author, Marianne Williamson speaks on A Course in Miracles at The Saban Theatre, Monday evenings in Los Angeles, California. After reading her book, The Law of Divine Compensation and How it Works for You, I went to hear her speak. Williamson is bold, bright, clever, and attracted my respect.
Williamson reminds me of other spiritual leaders who have not succumbed to Landscape Amnesia, forgetting how different the surrounding landscape is from 5, 50, or 100 years ago.
Effective healing strategies take into account the physical and mental landscape of today. The language and studies of 5-, 50-, or 500-years ago do not prove valid today.
Scientific evidence shows that we can’t reconcile spirit and biology or human mind. Therefore, I’m comfortable getting to know a God that is Spirit.
In divine Science God is not humanlike but is Spirit, Mind. it’s important to know, the human mind and divine Mind are not the same thing. They don’t even cooperate. Divine Mind is supreme and fully capable of controlling the human mind with love, health, and usefulness.
We read in 21st Century Science and Health “Real ideas flow from the divine Mind. Unreal thoughts, coming from the brain or from auras, are extensions of the human mind; they are an accumulation of imprinted mortal beliefs and experiences. Ideas are spiritual, harmonious, and eternal.”
