Fresh Morning: 10 Reasons to Get Up Early

posted by vreiss | 5:00am Thursday February 26, 2009

sun1.jpgFrom Victoria Moran, Beliefnet’s incredibly talented Life Coach blogger:

“I don’t always bound out of bed with grand expectations about the day ahead, but when I can hear my grandmother saying, ‘This is a day the Lord has made: I will rejoice and be glad in it,’ it helps. And when I get up at the early side of morning instead of the snooze-alarm side, ah, what a difference!

1.    It stretches out the morning. You could even see it as a way of  living longer.
2.    There’s no excuse not to meditate.
3.    Or go to the gym.
4.    You’ll be sure and make your bed before you leave the house. Just remembering that you did that gives you a better day.
5.    There’s time for a real breakfast.”

Waking Up to Your Dreams (by Wendy Schuman)
Are you a frustrated dreamer? I know I am. I often wake up with fragments of scenes echoing in my mind that seem really meaningful--but then I leap out of bed, start my morning routine, and in seconds they're gone. I want to linger in that realm and tap into the guidance and insight rising from a wi

Mornings are glorious.. what is more beautiful than a pink sunrise? Or a golden sunset for that matter…there is just something magical about being up early, sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, soaking in the quietness. Eventually the horses come up to the barn then to the fence and nicker, gradually the pups awaken and begin their playful barking…I sit and I am in awe of the world that God has made. It is a time of spiritual meditation for me and for thanking God for my lot in life. As the sun rises I rise and begin my day with a sense of wonder and gratitude that fill my soul the entire day.

There is nothing like waking up to smell good ol’ country air. Knowing
That yesterday is gone and today is a brand new start gives
motivation and encouragement. Just being able to see another day is a blessing itself.

To wake up with fresh air, without someone nagging at you or calling to disturbed your day is a good feeling. You have to let nature takes its on course and love and be thankful that GOD gave you another beautiful morning and good things are always there for those that wait.

So true- I Iove getting up early when the neighborhood is asleep and it’s still dark. I use my computer by the light of candles and wait for the first bird outside to say hello. A beautiful sunrise is the icing on the cake.

I love the early morning, for the quiet and the stillness, for the beauty of the first light, for the awakening of the body and soul, all before the rush of life begins.

The scripture says
“Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning; thou hast the dew of thy youth” (Ps. 110:3).
There is power in the early morning. There is strength in the early morning. There is hope in the morning. The womb of the morning is beautiful and refreshing. The morning reproduces everything refreshing and uncontaminated. If there was anything I missed in the city it is the countryside’s dew of the morning.

I love to see the sun come up and also the sunset. Two of the most beautiful times of the day. Only God could paint that picture, I have many wonderful photograph of both that I have taken thru the years. God is very good to us to give us these beautiful times, it is up to us to find and take the time to enjoy them God Bless.

“In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.” -Psalm 5:3
This passage is helpful to me because not only do I need God’s help to get out of bed in the morning, but I also need His help in every other part of my life. I read this, and it made complete sense: I should do my part and get up in the morning, especially if I’m the one asking for help. It now seems disrespectful to sleep all day and then decide to ask for help once I’ve gotten up. I thank and praise God for granting me this enlightenment.
