A favorite movie scene, thank you. Another favorite movie rain song though not raining is RAIN DROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I have Happy childhood memories singing to it on the radio.

I love rain (as long as it doesn’t last for a week): afterwards you can get some really good photos of water droplets (one of my favourite subjects), and it saturates the colours.

I never was much of a country fan, but I do like the song by Clint Black ‘Like the Rain’.

Where’s The Cascades’ “Rhythm of the Rain”?

Actually, the title of the Fleetwood Mac song is “Dreams”, not Thunder Only Happens When It’s Raining. It was their only #1 single and a shining example of Stevie Nicks’s magnificent songwriting talent.

I am glad someone mentioned Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. It’s my favorite. CCR also has Who’ll Stop the Rain, Garth Brooks -The Thunder Rolls has good thunder sounds and one of Billy Joel’s early albums has Falling of the Rain with piano that feels like its raining.

I’ll put the Tones On Tail song “Rain” up against any of my favorite Classic Rock rain songs any day of the week. It has an incredibly long intro, but actually turns into something of a love song in a pop vein. Fans of Brian Eno, Roxy Music, Eurithmics, Peter Gabriel and Talk Talk might get into this. For a best listening experience put this one on headphones and drift into the stratosphere, just when it’s about got you in Alpha waves it soflty kicks in with a hypnotic rhythm. Here Comes the Rain Again–Eurythmics is my favourite. I agree with George. It is nothing better than listening to the alpha wave inducing music.

I’ve been looking at lists of rain songs and was wondering how everyone left out “The Who” and then I looked it up and discovered why. The song I’ve been singing in my head is “Love Reign o’er me”. It does start out with the sound of rain in the background. I never paid attention to the spelling. Many of you missed the homonym in my name. hehehe

What about “It’s a raining man”? It is also a song about rain! Love it!

Thank for sharing this songs after the rain. For me, rain is a song in itself. Hearing the rain is so relaxing but not storm of course. A simple rain can help you recall a lot about your past and it is very comforting.
