I just ran across this lovely article on how to heal your heart, and it struck me as a great “first thing meditation” for the morning. The article is worth reading, but the take-away “do this now” instruction is startlingly simple and profound. Here it is:
Follow your breath to your heart and dwell there.
Can you? What do you see, hear, smell, feel, and taste in that place? Are you surprised by what you find?
