Well, nothing is ever that simple, but a new study out yesterday offers yet another reason to quit if you’re a smoker.
The Associated Press reported on the study, which was conducted at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Researchers found that a year after quitting smoking, participants had a measurable improvement in their arteries, and were at significantly lower risk of heart disease.
Interesting companion fact – the participants gained, on average, 9 pounds during that first after-smoking year. But the heart improvement was not undermined by the weight gain!

Great list. I work with pregnant women who want to quit smoking and I will be sure to share this with them. But remember, motivation is nit always enough. It is definitely an important part of the quit smoking puzzle but people who want to quit smoking should be sure to get some help too. People who try to quit smoking “cold turkey” do not succeed easily and it often takes them several attempts. So get help!

I’ve been a smoker for over 50 years. I’ve even managed to quit a few times but it never lasted and I always went back to the evil weed. About a year ago I found an answer that worked. It’s a book called “The Easy way to Stop Smoking” by Allen Carr. The book has over six hundred positive reviews on Amazon.com, so it isn’t just me. Get this book. It really works.

But nowadays people use to quit smoking using electronic cigarettes. i hope that one is also a good method for quit smoking. coz electronic cigarettes are tar free smokeless and contains carbon monoxide. i hope this would be the best way to quit smoking.

Yes.. e cig is best way to quit smoking. The FDA’s laboratory findings actually indicate that electronic cigarettes are much, much safer than conventional cigarettes.
