If you haven’t heard about the “Dirty Dozen” or “Clean 15”–lists of which kinds of produce are best to buy organic–or not buy at all–check out this video from Dr. Andrew Weil. He goes over EWG’s genius “Shopper’s Guides to Pesticides” to help you prioritize your shopping lists.

Weil cites studies showing that when adults and kids scale back their consumption of non-organic versions of the “Dirty Dozen”–like celery, strawberries and apples–their body tissue shows a remarkable decrease in pesticide residue. Gross, but so helpful and fascinating.
