On The Religious Left, Great Expectations
The first priorities for Barack Obama's administration will be the economy and a variety of foreign policy issues. But the burgeoning religious left, which worked so hard to get Obama elected, expects some movement on its issues, including a robust White House office of faith-based initiatives, pove

Howard Dean's Vindication
God-o-Meter wrote a piece for today's Roll Call on the vindication of Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean's much-derided 50-State Strategy, which is largely about reaching out to the nation's more religious voters in the red states:
Years before Barack Obama showed that a liberal Demo

A Post-Election Chat with Ralph Reed
Amid today's talk that Barack Obama has narrowed the God Gap, God-o-Meter checked in with Ralph Reed, who spearheaded religious outreach for George W. Bush's 2000 and 2004 campaigns and who pioneered such outreach for Republicans as executive director of the Christian Coalition.

More Innacurate Faith Storylines From the Media
God-o-Meter is struck by the number of faith-based storylines the news media appear to have gotten dead wrong this year.
One was the line that Obama was poised to make big gains among white votes, especially evangelicals, who were undergoing a generational shift in their political thinking and reexa

Fred Thompson…. just look at his face. Is that a face you can trust??? Is that the face of man that wants to serve you???
No, it isn’t. Thompson is a lobbyist!!!! He is part of two special interest groups. One that’s based on corporate rights, and the other based upon Foreign Affairs.. and it’s not even a political organization. Just people who want to run government, but aren’t in it. Now he wants in it.
I don’t want a president that is out to serve lobbyists and special interests, I want a president that is looking out for the best of all people.

PS:
Thompson is mocking our election process!!! Like I said earlier, he is only out to help special interest groups, corporations, and other lobbyists. He doesn’t care about the American People or our election process.
No wonder he waits till the ending time to announce his candicy. Plus the day after a debate, so he doesn’t have to go to it. He doesn’t want to be part of a debate with other candidates, because he knows the rest are better and smarter than him.

Mr Thompson to me appears to be a good candidate for President. He offers new ideas and because of his lack of funds cannot compete too well with the other candidates. Give him a chance the others did seem to speak the same old things over and over again. I wish him well and GOD’s speed Does anyone know how I can join his campagin over the computer.

I respect Dr. Dobson very much, but Mr Thompson is not running for national chaplain, or national pastor. He’s running for President, and he has my vote. Mr. King, wish I knew how to post URL’s. Try http://www.fred08.com/index.aspx
