Fresh from its 10-day Iowa "faith tour", God-o-Meter learns that the Obama campaign is ratcheting up faith-based outreach in South Carolina with a "40 Days of Faith and Family" road show there. Photos from the events, conducted by Obama's faith outreach staff, are being posted on the campaign's People of Faith for Barack Obama page as they happen. Could this be Obama's way of distinguishing himself from Hillary Clinton within the South Carolina's black community, which accounts for half of Democratic primary voters in the Palmetto State? An article in The State notes that 66-percent of South Carolina blacks say their religion means a great deal to them. But The State also notes that Obama split his time last Sunday morning between a black church and a conservative white Baptist congregation. He elicited only polite applause from the Baptists, but God-o-Meter is nonetheless impressed. After all, it asks, would reaction be even that enthusiastic were Hillary to show up one Sunday?

"Sen. Barack Obama said that Republicans no longer have a firm grip on religion in political discourse."
Democratics and Republicans have both compromised on GOD's standard of morality and they are responsible for the moral decay of this nation. Furthermore, many churches throughout this nation have compromised on the written Word of God to embrace secular teachings as they lead many astray.
I would strongly encourage ALL those who profess their faith in Jesus to consider carefully the following article. We serve a loving God, but also a God of righteous judgment. And, neither person nor politician alive is exempt from being held accountable to that day of judgment when they stand before their maker.

I really like Obama for President! Also, I am impressed with this web site. Well done!
WOW! I did "evaluate" the information on Pete Grasso & I have to say it's pretty scary! Is he running for president of the United States or god?
His web site's language is highly judgmental and he seems to think he's uniquely qualified to define for all Americans what's moral and what's immoral. I thought the United States was intended to function as a democracy, not a theocracy. Instead of leaving the "righteous judgement" to God, these folks seem to think that's their divine mission and entitlement and they apparently are determined to legislate their brand of "morality" on all of us for our own good. Jesus Christ had plenty to say about religious leaders of his time who were quick to use the Old Testament to persecute people who were considered to be "on the fringe" of society. I do see an obvious correlation between how the Pharasies judged those who were deemed "flawed or imperfect" and the rhetoric of Mr. Grasso and his supporters.
I will support (and encourage others to do so as well) a person of faith who exhibits the wisdon, compassion, integrity and moral clarity to unite our country, not divide it even further. The candidate, regardless of political party, who in my estimation at this particular time best fits these criteria is Sen. Obama.
Actually, the term "Judge Not Less be Judged" is one of the most misused quotes of the Bible. I did some research on Pete Grasso and he has been spot on regarding a number of key issues facing this nation. I find it amusing that he is the only what that will tell you what he would do if elected comparred to Obama, Hillary, and the rest of the liberal left.
Regarding judgment... Check this out. Very well written retort to Patrick's posting...
