        Clinton Advertises her Church Attendance

clintonpraying.jpgThe Clinton Campaign has just emailed its religious supporters a copy of this Associated Press story on the Senator's appearance yesterday in an Iowa Methodist church:

Hillary Rodham Clinton started a long day of campaigning by attending church, where she sang "Jesus Loves Me," "Where Children Belong" and other hymns.

As the polls tigthen in Iowa, God-o-Meter wonders if highlighting Clinton's Sunday worship habits will be part of a new campaign to establish her religious identity among the state's largely rural, culturally conservative voters.

Hey! What happened to her bump in the rating? If Huckabee gets a bump for advertising his Christianity, she should as well :-)

        About God-o-Meter

The God-o-Meter (pronounced Gah-DOM-meter) scientifically measures factors such as rate of God-talk, effectiveness—saying God wants a capital gains tax cut doesn't guarantee a high rating—and other top-secret criteria (Actually, the adjustment criteria are here). Click a candidate's head to get his or her latest God-o-Meter reading and blog post. And check back often. With so much happening on the campaign trail, God-o-Meter is constantly recalibrating!
