The God-o-Meter (pronounced Gah-DOM-meter) scientifically measures factors such as rate of God-talk, effectiveness—saying God wants a capital gains tax cut doesn't guarantee a high rating—and other top-secret criteria (Actually, the adjustment criteria are here). Click a candidate's head to get his or her latest God-o-Meter reading and blog post. And check back often. With so much happening on the campaign trail, God-o-Meter is constantly recalibrating!
Why delete comments Dan? You ar the one that asked for thoughts. I posted a comment earlier today that is now gone. Not sure why. I had trouble posting it and it did double post, perhaps that's why. In any event, not sure why it doesn't appear now.
SPUNKY--I didn't delete your comments on this post. I did delete some at my other post on the new Huckabee ad because the same comment had posted three times. There have been some glitches with Beliefnet's blogs in the last couple days, so that might explain the disappearance. Let me know if you experience more problems with vanishing comments.
My apologies Dan. It was the other post. I bookmarked the wrong one. I had been having trouble commenting and it finally went through that's why the double post and then when I didn't see any show up here I was obvious confused. Sorry.
It doesn't seem a bit...blatant? Desperation personified. Maybe if he didn't try so hard.
THOMAS O--Your observation is kinda anti-conventional wisdom, which holds that Huckabee, at least when it comes to Christan/Christmas stuff, is Mr. Natural. Interesting you think he looks like he's trying too hard.
On Wed Morning Joe - MSNBC - Huck made a comment about politicians thinking there were God and acting like they were running for that position. It went right over Mika and Joe's head but I'll bet Romney squirmed when he heard it.
I think the Dems believe they can beat Romney with Clinton and if that ends up being the contest look for the Dems to expose Mormon belefs. Romney will get beaten badly and we will have a socialist in the White House.
So tell me if I'm the only one who reads it like this:
Look at me, I'm Mike Huckabee. I could be using this moment to say "Vote for me" like all of the other candidates are doing. But it's Christmas and we should all just say "Hooray for Jesus". And because I am saying "Hooray for Jesus" and not "Vote for me", you should vote for me.
