Obama First to Welcome Pope

posted by dgilgoff | 6:16pm Monday April 14, 2008

pope.jpgBarack Obama was the first presidential candidate to issue a statement welcoming Pope Benedict XVI to the United States ahead of his arrival tomorrow:

On behalf of our family, Michelle and I want to extend our warmest welcome to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI as he arrives for his historic apostolic journey to the United States. As committed Christians, we join millions of Americans – Catholics and members of all faith communities – in offering our prayers for the success of the Holy Father’s visit.
At a time when American families face rising costs at home and a range of worries abroad, the theme of Pope Benedict’s journey, “Christ Our Hope,” offers comfort and grace as well as a challenge to all faith communities to put our faith into action for the common good. It will not only be Catholics who are listening to the Holy Father’s message of hope and peace; all Americans will be listening with open hearts and minds.

Obama may have fallen to a “6″ with his seemingly derisive remark about small town Americans clinging to their faith, but he sure bounces back quick–unlike a certain Republican nominee for president who God-o-Meter has been tracking.

On The Religious Left, Great Expectations
The first priorities for Barack Obama's administration will be the economy and a variety of foreign policy issues. Howard Dean's Vindication
God-o-Meter wrote a piece for today's Roll Call on the vindication of Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean's much-derided 50-State Strategy, which is largely about reaching out to the nation's more religious voters in the red states: Years before Barack Obama showed that a liberal Demo

More Innacurate Faith Storylines From the Media
God-o-Meter is struck by the number of faith-based storylines the news media appear to have gotten dead wrong this year. The Apostles were conservative Christians

Obama is a “progressive” Christian. That is an altogether different thing than the Christian Church begun by Christ Jesus and the Apostles. Obama is fishing for Catholic votes with no other motive for his welcoming of Pope Benedict. In fact, Obama’s committment to same-gender unions and abortions to rid a woman of her unwanted child (abortion as birth control) is as different from “the faith delivered ONLY once to the Saints,” as San Francisco morality is to the words of Jesus, Peter, John, James, Jude and Paul. It is very telling that Jesus said to try to get a brother to repent, and if all attempts fail, treat him as you would a tax collector. Taxes are another glaring sign of what Obama’s “progressive” views represent.

Didn’t Jesus say to forgive “seventy times seven”?

not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. [Matthew 5:39] I say unto you, Love your

you. [Matthew 7:1 & 2.]

all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. [Luke 12.15.] Truly, I say unto you, it will

A disciple of Christ

posted October 17, 2008 at 2:16 pm

Jesus Christ said ” Take no thought for your life ” ” Blessed are the POOR IN SPIRIT”, and ” the meek shall inherit the kingdom of God ”
I sharply rebuke Obama and the catholic cult, for deceiving many untrained people. They are not Christians, nor are they meek, nor are they taking no though for their lives.
Jesus Christ said ” If any man will come after me,let him deny himself, take up his c r o s s and follow me( die ). Read Luke 9, Matt 16 , John 12, and remember that Christ called his true disciples to LOSE THEIR LIVES! Not save them as the demon possessed pope , or the liar obama.
” Dead in CHrist”
