The God-o-Meter (pronounced Gah-DOM-meter) scientifically measures factors such as rate of God-talk, effectiveness—saying God wants a capital gains tax cut doesn't guarantee a high rating—and other top-secret criteria (Actually, the adjustment criteria are here). Click a candidate's head to get his or her latest God-o-Meter reading and blog post. And check back often. With so much happening on the campaign trail, God-o-Meter is constantly recalibrating!
Considering that the only thing voters have on their minds this year is the price of gas, religion is not going matter all that much. Besides, who in their right mind would want these folks' endorsement?
I think McCain made a big mistake by dumping those two men of GOD.
Both men have great influance over many christian people. What it shows people is, he isn't to smart when it comes to the Bible and jews. It makes one wonder if he knows much about politics

These men are NOT men of the same God that I love and serve, Jesus came that ALL who might believe who have life in the fullness of grace, not full of hate.
McClain was right in dumping these bigots! There are plenty men of God who will endorse McCain now that he has dropped these two idiots. His rating may be down now but he can come back if the the Christian correct like what he says rather than the Christian Right. We need a president that can understand the Sermon on the Mount.
All of this is rather silly. My, oh, my, what to do with these troublesome ministers? Does it matter much who endorses Obama or McCain? Isn't what really counts is what these candidates stand for themselves? I don't care who endorses Obama or McCain, what matters is where they intend to lead this country. What matters is the policies the candidates espouse. Wright doesn't speak for Obama nor did Hagee or Parsley speak for McCain. Again, if Obama endorses what Wright or Farrakhan [sp?] say or if McCain endorses everything that Hagee or Parsley say, then it matters. Who agrees with everything that anyone else says? Personally, I'd like to have a leader who is open to a lot of different people. Who is willing to listen to someone they disagree with.
Let's see, you cannot reject sodomites and muslim murderers or you are a homophobe and a bigot, but it's OK to openly and publicly insult Christian ministers with no label tagged on you. Now, I agree with the Parsley thing on theological grounds, but when are we ever going to hear a denouncement of sexual deviants and terror preacher? It's OK to pander to the adherants of perversion and murder?
Paul writes:
Can you name a few whose names we'd recognize?
The Apostle,
Your post is further proof that people who support Hagee and Parsley should be dismissed as "useful idiots" per the Evangelical Manifesto. Hagee blames gays for the Katrina flood as God's retribution, then backtracks when his comments are made public. Parsley defames all of Islam, then claims he was misquoted and backtracks. Why aren't you denouncing them for both lying and embarrassing Christianity with their ridiculous statements? Of course the entire Religious Right movement is a hypocrisy built of the resentments of segregations who were wrong about the god of white superiority.
To answer your question, how is it acceptable for a divorced adulterer such as Hagee to remain a pastor? Why aren't you outraged that adultery is rewarded with a $1M+ salary? He left his first wife and 3 kids for a younger woman. Parsley is a hack, doesn't even have a college degree which means he really knows nothing about the real text written in Greek and Hebrew. Why do you defend hateful hypocrites whoh aren't qualified to speak about anyone else's moral standards?
It really shouldn't matter who either one supports politically. But as long as there are "useful idiots" who are foolish and faithless enough to actually listen to either Hagee or Parsley, we'll continue these divisive and insincere debates.
Off hand I can't name any that have endorsed McCain but I'm sure there are some who will. Of course not all men of God are "Pastors", some are just good men who have the Love of God. I considered myself a man of God and I backed McCain four years ago, does that count?
