Pennsylvania GOP Airs Rev. Jeremiah Wright/Obama Ad

Monday November 3, 2008

Categories: Barack Obama

Honestly, God-o-Meter is shocked that state Republican parties have been so deferntial until now in honoring John McCain's request that they refrain from making such Wright-centric ads. Was that a courtesy on McCain's part? Or more evidence of discomfort discussing matters religious?

Update: GOM noticed that the video for this ad on the Pennsylvania Republican Party's web site wasn't working and called to inquire about whether the party had pulled the ad. Party spokesman Michael Barley assured GOM that the ad is still up and running, but was decidedly sheepish about the ad's creation or timing. "The only comment I have," Barley said, "Is it's running on broadcast TV and is an indepednent independent expenditure not authorized or affiliated with any candidate or candidate committee."

Total nonsense. Don't you take the time to consider the source of such nonsense. I will vote for Senator Obama because of who he is and not who he associates with. The limits you put on associates would put any one at risk of character, consider for one moment who associated with Jesus. With Moses. With any worthy public figure.
Is not the word of God good enough for you. He said Love your neighbor, Forgive your neighbor. Let him without sin cast the first stone. Remember?

The mean spirited bigoted nature of much of the evangelical community is contrary to the teachings of Jesus. It is time for reasonable and intelligent religious minded people to take back the pulpit in the name of righteousness.

Christians are in the world but not of the world. God controls history and describes our nation in prophesy as choosing leaders without consulting him. He also describes our country as a nation that has changed their God from the God of eternal life to the god of death. Is it any wonder that they want to remove the 10 commandments from the public forum. Separation of Church and State is simply the separation of the people from God. This is convenient for our enemies who have gone on record, historically, saying .." If you want to defeat America you must separate her from her God." In God we turst becomes a vain statement when you throw out the 10 commandments. We indeed have taken the name of our God in vain as a nation and supplanted him with ourselves under the sway of Satan. This is reality plain and simple.
