Verse of the Day: "Justice for all who are oppressed"

The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always accuse, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.

- Psalms 103:6-10

Amen.

The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed.

May justice for the unborn be seen soon in our nation, and may God forgive us for the horrible evil of abortion.>

HAC:

And may we elect party leaders who will actually do something about it. Roe-v-Wade came to be when Republicans were in office. Republicans have had more than 20 years in office since that time, yet none of them have done a thing about it. It's time to stop voting based on that issue, because a candidates opinions on said issue have resulted in action.>

Oops! That last line should have ended:

...have NOT resulted in action.>

Donny,

Sadly, you're right that Republicans have gotten little done on this (they've tried, and Democrats stopped them - Republicans don't try hard enough, in my mind). The issue is so large, though, that I can't just give up who I vote for on it. That would be like saying in 1850, "we've had slavery here for so long and no one has done anything about it, so I can't vote on that issue."

The big issue is judges, however, and having Republicans in elected office means a much bigger chance of getting judges to overturn Roe v. Wade. May that happen soon.>
