Verse of the Day: Justice and Righteousness
Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to a king's son. May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. May the mountains yield prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness. May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the needy, and crush the oppressor.

Is there a legitimate reason to read this as endorsing the use of political structures to help the poor and to not read it as endorsing the divine right of kings?
This is a typical problem I have with material like this. Maybe the poetry and wisdom passages of the Bible help us to celebrate the nature of our already formed spirituality rather that act as authority in guiding our views.
