I am so glad that we have people like Jim Wallis speaking out against the dangerous fundamentalism that is still so prevalent in American religion and politics today. Progressive and prophetic religion and politics may be our only hope.

Jim Wallis is a dangerous false teacher.
There is nothing that can excuse his support for candidates that uphold the policies of abortion, regardless of his personal feelings on it.
The traditional family is under attack by the gay rights movement, and Jim excuses this by saying 'only 12 versus in the Bible mention it". Jim -- God created Adam and Eve -- not Adam and Steve,, right?
I agree that poverty should be eliminated, but the reality is that it is simply not possible in a capitalistic society. The best way to end poverty is to let individual Americans decide what to do with their money, and donate to the church or charity of their choice.
The path that Jim all Sojourners walks is a dangerous one -- one that is on the edge of Lenin/Marxist ideals.
I work hard for every dollar I earn. And it is a sham that the % of money I have to give up the Federal government goes up as I earn more. Jim believes that this is ok though. Just like Jim believes it is ok to ignore the plight of the Iraqi people under Saddam Hussein's foot... and is quick to criticize the US operation to remove him.
Aligning yourself with the Huffington Post and other leftist organizations only alienates your movement even more.
Contrary to Jim's gloomy forecasts, The Religious Right is alive and well. While you are out there fighting for so called "social justice", we fight for the cause of the unborn and stand up against the acceptance of homosexuality as a normal and acceptable lifestyle. We support our troops and their mission. And we fight to get our taxes lowered so that WE can give more of our money to Christian organizations rather than a godless government deciding that our money is best spent at a Planned Parenthood clinic.
Tell me what your priority really is? Because it seems to me that you seek to usher in an era where the totalitarian state provides it all, effectively making us all slaves to the government. Ah -- Stalin's dreams go hand in hand with "Christian" Jim Wallis. Who would have thought?
Jim Wallis -- I stand AGAINST you, Derek Webb, and the rest of the so-called "Religious Left".
