Verse of the Day: 'Our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh'
Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
- Ephesians 6:11-12

It is sad to me that I'm tired of hearing this verse only because I have heard so many Evangelicals use it grossly out of context as justification for war.

So does this mean that people on the Sojo blog admit there is evil and such an evil being as Satan who works to do evil in the world?

This verse stands against and proclaims the very originations of the actions and behaviors of Progressives.
In modern terms, start with the destruction of human life for unfettered sexual freedom, and then the destruction and altering of the family, easy divorce that influenced and poisoned an entire generation, and then the redefinition of marriage (ooposing the teachings of Christ) and the celebration and promotion of sexual licentiousness and abomination; and you have the fact that the powers and principalities of darkness haven't changed since they were in charge of Sodom, Gomorrah or Rome. Look to those that push for a new and "more progressive ideas" to be the same old evil with a new face for a new time.
There is always time for Liberals and Progressives to repent.

There is a song by the old French group "Ange" ("Angel")
Capitaine Coeur-de-Miel
Déversa tout son fiel
L'envoya se faire foutre
A la mer
Donny, I bet you'd be a much happier person if you could manage to do the same.

I find sound teaching in this verse although I may use my internal translator to redirect some parts of it.
What is the armour of God with which we can withstand the onslaughts of the evil ones? It certainly isn't aligning ourselves with either side of today's political spectrum. I see it as having our consciousness fully emmersed in the spirit of God and being so busy about following the teachings of Christ in seeking God and serving our fellow living beings on this earth, that the evil desire to exploit others, which is the nature of the materially conditioned mind, cannot surface.
I am not concerned with the devils that may or may not exist outside of myself, it is the ones that lie deep in the dark places of my own mind that I have my guard up against.

Sonny,
I agree w/ you they are my priority. But there is true evil in the world and in the hearts of men. We must fight against that aswell.

Yes I understand payshun and agree. The only way we can fight the evil in men's heart is to first make sure we have fought it and won within our own heart. We ourselves are the first man we must win over.
Then we can be an example of others on how to win the same battle themselves. Otherwise God has given free will unto each to choose how their own hearts will be ruled. Change of heart can not be forced one man upon another.
We can oppose the evil actions others as we are able. We can intervene in individual acts of evil as we encounter them. We can stop one person from beating another for example but we cannot free that person from their violent tendencies by protest or force of law.
I see the limitations of actions but I in no way advocate nonaction. We must do what we can but suffering in the material world will continue. It's the nature of the place.
Christ said give unto Ceasar's what is Caesar's and He said the Kingdom that he spoke of is not of this world.
