Interesting events in the past few days...the Pope calls for US polices to be "based in morality", a former President dares to actually talk to one of our "enemies" in order to try and bring some sense to the Palestinian crisis, while our Secretary of State rattles the US saber towards Iran, and finally, we learn of how far this administration will go to try and justify their war in Iraq by using military men as their mouthpieces.
More sad evidence that our national leadership has lost it's way in their headlong pursuit of power and wealth.
Of course, those who vilify Catholicism will dismiss the Pope's remarks as naive, will laugh at Mr. Carter as a discredited liberal, will ignore Ms. Rice lying to Congress and the American people about waterboarding (after all, it's merely "aggressive interrogation", not torture) and will explain the latest abuse of information as through retired military officers with intimate ties to defense industries as "nothing new." (Sadly, it's isn't.)
I'll repeat what my wife and I have been saying since the invasion...where is the outrage from American Christians?
As a people, we have much to answer for in the presence of the Lord.
Pray for Peace, and dare to speak out!
