This is a great story of bad news turning into good news. Baltimore Ravens all-star Ray Lewis and other National Football League players are rallying around a ten year-old boy, La’Shaun Armstrong, whose mother, in desperation, drove him and his siblings into the Hudson river. Now that his family is gone, the boy’s new extended family includes many players providing fun activities, financial support, and lots of love. Ray Lewis, who has offerred to mentor the boy, said, “I looked at him and told him, ‘I’m here for you man. I can’t replace what you’ve lost. But i can tell you that I’m here to go forward with you.” While the mainstream media focuses on what Tiger Woods is tweeting, it’s nice to see all-star players going out of their way to help others.
