Capuchin Monk Sings in Heavy Metal Band Fratello Metal

Tuesday July 22, 2008

This story will really throw a twist on the "what is Christian music" debate!

I originally saw "Brother Metal" on the BBC World News last weekend. He's a Capuchin monk named Brother Cesare Bonizzi who sings in a heavy metal band called Fratello Metal.

Apparently he saw Metallica 15 years ago and was inspired by the energy of the music. His band recently appeared in the Gods of Metal festival in Italy, along with giants such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Slayer.

While he does touch on faith and religion in his music, he says that he is not seeking to draw people to Catholicism. Instead, he told the BBC, "I do it to convert people to life, to understand life, to grab hold of life, to savour it and enjoy it. Full stop."

Head on over to YouTube.com to see the video of Fratello Metal.

Well, what can you say, the band sucks bigtime.
Its always interesting to see how the church tries to infiltrate themselves on the enemies lines.
Metal is against gods, as a matter of fact, most real metal bands are totally against the christian religion.

I guess you just need to know the originals, to be able to recognize a fake, like fratello, totally fake.
Its obvious its just a scheme to get more churchs simpathyzers, more money. Like any religious act.

Metal is against Christian beliefs or Gods?lol...do you even listen to metal?lol...what about Viking metal?they talk about theyre gods and so??
theres a lots of types of metal name it and well talk about it...

Metal is not a Satanic cult or nothing like that, nor it is against some god or gods, metal depending on the band and style just talks about everything that life has to give to us,it can be love,so it can be hate...

For Example: Iron Maiden, one of the best and sucessfull bands in the whole world, listen to theyr lirics and see if you can find some anti-Christian or anti-politics lirics??? no..you cannot..i could name here several Metal Bands and none of those would be satanic or something like that...

Off course that many of them uses metal to express theyre anger for religion but not all...
but its like discovering the Atomic energy and using it for an atomic bomb instead of using it for the good of mankind..thats the same with anti-christian bands...
