Word Records’ Grammy and Dove Award-winning artist, David Phelps, will appear on a ABC’s hit show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” this Sunday, July 27, 2008, 8 p.m. EST.
In this episode, the Extreme Makeover team comes to the aid of the Woodhouse family of Colorado Springs. Their daughter has a rare and debilitating neurological disease that leaves her unable to feel any pain; as a consequence, extreme heat and cold an kill her. Phelps performs at a benefit show.
As an acclaimed solo artist and a former member of the renowned Gaither Vocal Band, David Phelps has impressed audiences internationally at over 100 performances a year including appearances at Billy Graham Mission crusades and before President George W. A three-time Gospel Music Association “Male Vocalist of the Year” nominee, Phelps joined the Gaither Vocal Band in 1997, where he was featured on over 30 projects with the multi-Platinum group.
(And for you trivia buffs, when I interviewed David Phelps a couple of years ago, I asked him about his kids and he cried, talking about how much he loved his family. He said I was the only interviewer to ever make him cry. What a super nice guy. He’s such softie, LOL!)

I have seen David in concert three times and visited with him on all three occasions. He is truly an awesome, down to earth individual and his concerts are amazing! He is getting the attention that he deserves now and after this CD comes out he’ll be very well known. But I know that no matter how well known he gets, he will still make time for his fans! God has blessed him with an amazing talent and the personality to go far! Please check out his website and head on over to the message board. There are some awesome people there too!
