First, the story that Katy Perry once released a Christian album, but fled that path for a more secular career where, as her fans have been vehemently asserting, "she can finally be herself." Now comes the news that Heidi Montag,...

JESUS died on the cross for me AND heidi montag! Isn't that awesome that GOD gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON for us all!!! Instead of judging her maybe you should loce the fact that she's finally being who GOD called her to be and not trying to fake being happy in the lifestyle that is HOLLYWOOD a.k.a. the world!!!

I've got no stones to throw. I wish her all the best and if this album helps bring her closer to God, that's great.

I can't knock anyone trying to do something good, regardless of their past.

Oh come on! Enough of this namby pamby Christian approach of "don't judge her" or "throw stones"! We can judge people by their "fruits" (and I'm not talking about her fake ones, either!). Does anyone honestly think she's sincere about her Christianity?! I don't know what bible she's been reading or what "christ" she follows, but her actions speak much louder than her words. She's an embarrassment, and quite honestly, is the type of person who gives true Christianity a bad name. The only "God" she worships is the god of celebrity.

I hope the One True God does help her!! Both her and her ridiculous husband are brilliantly illustrated in Mark 10 17:25...

(From The Message) As he went out into the street, a man came running up, greeted him with great reverence, and asked, "Good Teacher, what must I do to get eternal life?" Jesus said, "Why are you calling me good? No one is good, only God. You know the commandments: Don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't lie, don't cheat, honor your father and mother." He said, "Teacher, I have—from my youth—kept them all!" Jesus looked him hard in the eye—and loved him! He said, "There's one thing left: Go sell whatever you own and give it to the poor. All your wealth will then be heavenly wealth. And come follow me." The man's face clouded over. This was the last thing he expected to hear, and he walked off with a heavy heart. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go. Looking at his disciples, Jesus said, "Do you have any idea how difficult it is for people who 'have it all' to enter God's kingdom?" The disciples couldn't believe what they were hearing, but Jesus kept on: "You can't imagine how difficult. I'd say it's easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for the rich to get into God's kingdom."

Is she a Christian? Only she and God know the answer to that, but, she most certainly doesn't seem to act like one.

Dea, did you catch her and Spencer on that stupid Celebrity survivor/Big Brother show? Yeesh, I caught about 15 mins, and that was enough for me. "They vandalized my hair products." Grow up, LOL.

Am I understanding this correctly???

The photograph pictured in this article is supposedly the COVER ART for her new - "christian" - album?

Say w h a t ?

Have we - really - reached a new low of all-encompassing "christianity" where baring your unmentionable bits for Jesus is OKAY?

I get that they are new to the game, but come ON. Can't Baldwin throw them a clue... or is he that bad off?

I am not so sure that i would not feel deeply convicted if I were running around in skimpy outfits and modeling for playboy. You will know them by their fruits...i will not buy her album and i hope other christians really search their hearts to decide if her songs really are inspired from God...

I agree, that only she and God know if she is a Christian. However, the behavior that her and her husband have shown on television strongly go against all basic Christian principles. Not to mention the mockery of baptism and overwhelming feeling of fakeness everytime one of them shouted "hallelujah" or "praise jesus". Hopefully, whether they are real Christians or not, their mentioning of faith and Jesus will influence someone to look into their own heart and find the Lord. I will not be purchasing any music that she puts out under the guise of Christianity, but sincerely hope that while she pursues these things the Lord will touch her and her husband and show them the power of his love and forgiveness.

Man...That is a disturbing thought. I do feel like the CCM industry almost invites that type of crossover... I realize that's a whole other topic. The thought (her cutting a "Christian" disc) does turn my stomach. Unfortunately, it sounds like the Pratts, or at least one of them has embraced "a form of religion" often mistaken for Christianity, which is more like a fairy tale or new age version of Christianity, not a relationship with Christ. That said, I'm so thankful for the reminder (from Bebo Norman) of how we should approach her (in our hearts - since most of us will likely never get any closer to her than a blog such as this). We shouldn't applaud this "we are all God's children" Christianity as refered to above. Jesus does love her...and Miley, but He has been clear that he does not accept or approve of her idolatry, self serving, immodesty, etc. Nor does he approve of my sin. That's not a backhanded way of saying that "it's all good." It's not, but we should be more concerned about the logs. We should be twice as quick to pray for her than to reject her. I pray that the brothers and sisters at In His Presence have a passion for discipleship and a true relationship with Christ, and are not simply taken with these "american idols."
