Hot new free Christian music from NoiseTrade.com

posted by Joanne Brokaw | 8:31am Tuesday July 15, 2008

JoyWhitlockGodandaGirl.jpgMost musicians want to not only create beautiful music but make money and expand their fan base. Music fans want hot new music and the right to share it wtih their friends without the threat of the recording industry knocking on their door with a subpoena.
Introducing www.NoiseTrade.com, an innovative tool that lets musicians and music fans compromise in the downloading debate.
It works like this: artists upload their music on the site and create a widget. Music fans listen to the samples. If they like the song, they either pay whatever price they want for it or get it for nothing by sharing the music with three of their friends. When they’ve done one of those, they get to download the widget and post it anywhere they want, on their website, blog or social networking site.
Everybody wins.
Right now you can check out hot new songs from bands like the recently reformed Sixpence None The Richer’s My Dear Machine EP, Derek Webb’s The Ringing Bell, and Joy Whitlock’s debut God and a Girl. (Keep your eye on this girl, she’s going to be hot.) The site offers selections from really interesting and unique artists, with a good dose of Americana, roots music and folk pop.
