While serving active duty in the United States Navy as a Musician Third Class at Navy Band Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida, former American Idol contestant Phil Stacey penned a patriotic anthem, "Old Glory." The song has now been released to iTunes as a digital download.
Stacey, who is still an active Navy reservist, recently released his self-titled debut album. The song "Old Glory" is not included on the album, so if you want it, head over to iTunes. To learn more about the new album, head over to Phil Stacey's website.
I found a great video of the song paired with a moving patriotic montage. Get the tissues and HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY. May freedom ring!

This song touched me deeply and I shared this song with a lot of my friends. Thanks to this young man to remind us we do have a land of freedom, and home for the brave. Praise be to our God. May we always remember to keep God in all we say and do. God bless the USA. Bonnie
What a beautiful tribute to our country by a gifted young singer, Phil Stacey. To not only pen such a moving song, but to have actually served for our country as well speaks volumes about this new artist. I wish him all the best and think he has a great hit on his hands. You go Phil Stacey!
WOW, What a beautiful and touching song. Thank you Phil Stacey for this song and for serving our country. God Bless.
This is some old version. You should hear the real version on Itunes! 10 Times better! Stay with it!
