The Wrecking (formerly known as The Kingpin Wrecking Crew, for you trivia buffs) is one of my favorite hot up-and-coming bands. (I’m getting to talk a lot today about my favorite artists, aren’t I? I love this job.) Their national debut album, A New Abolition, hits stores in August. You can be sure that it’ll be a Pick of the Week when it releases.
The single “Inside” was featured on the Underground Sound compilation CD, and the first radio single, a remake of Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes,” released to radio this month. The video for the song was created in conjunction with Love 146, a non-profit organization dedicated to the abolition of child exploitation and sex trafficking.
Songs from the new album have also been licensed to MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Spike TV.
The band is scheduled to play Soulfest next week, which is going to be interesting with Darren’s broken hand. So pray for a speedy recovery and no complications.

Thanks for the alert. I will most definitely keep Darren in prayer.
Maybe you could pass my story along to encourage him at some point this week. He will probably remember me as “Emily from Vermont.”
I recently broke my wrist in two places while riding my horse. The doctors expected surgery and 8 weeks in a cast. After having a friend and my dad lay hands on my wrist and pray for healing, the intense pain left. 24 hours later I was off all pain meds and pain free. A week later the doctors were amazed, and saw that surgery was out of the question, and recovery time would be decreased to 3 weeks in a cast, and a couple weeks in a splint. Today, I went in after 1 week in a cast and they said that only one more week was needed, and then about one week in a splint. This is a testimony to God’s grace. He brought me from a total of 12 weeks recovery time, to a total of 4. Praise God! If God can heal me, he can heal Darren.
Again, I will be praying for him, that God would give him a quick recovery, and that the pain would cease.

Please pray for my mom, Lorraine Dupuis, She is a widow who is disable and having financial needs to keep her home and her health. I know God promises to provide needs and to heal those who are sick. I am concerned for my mom as I live so far away from her and she is worrying herself to death to get help with a mortgage modification. She has been in a process period for 3 month and now has been notified of an intent of foreclosure. She is feeling reject and a failure. I have been in great hopes for God to do a miracle to comfort her and bring her good news soon. Will you please pray with a heart of brokenness for her as a I too am in tears for all of her suffering…thank you, thank you, and God bless you.
