The Temecula Gospel Music & Art Festival is inviting Christian music artists to audition for their first annual festival, which will take place September 26-27 at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater, in Temecula, CA.
Auditions are being held for Christian music and gospel acts, including praise and worship teams, small groups, soloists, and choirs, and people can also audition for the Youth Show Choir and Temecula Mass Choir.
Fifteen Gospel choirs will compete in a Choir Sound Off for the chance to be featured on the GospelFest 08 compilation CD, recorded by Grammy-nominated producer, Shep Crawford. The festival will also have vendors and workshops, including the “Praise and Worship Dance” workshop taught by choreographer Kimmie Morrow.
Proceeds from the Temecula festival will benefit the Performing Arts Program at Oak Grove, a nonpublic school with campuses in Murrieta and Perris. The student population comprises at-risk children with psychological problems.
If you’re interested in auditioning, you need to contact the festival coordinators by August 1. Registration for the open-call audition is available at www.gospelfest08.org. You’ll receive an appointment time for the Aug. 16 tryout, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mercantile Room in the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

Wow This is so great! Praise God….Do you ever, or have you thought of doing outside summer events…we have done concerts in the park in Perris Ca. and have dreamed of putting on a Gospel Festival out here….Well we will see what God has in store.
Let me know if there is anything like that going on that we could get involved with.
