We've been talking a lot about the new Digital Praise guitar game, and a lot of you have been wistfully wishing that Guitar Hero would come out with a Christian music expansion pack. (Is that the right term? You know...

Christians have better things to do than play video games. Or at least they SHOULD have better things to do.

If there was a single artist expansion pack then I would want - Skillet.

Some other artist of interest for specific songs would include the Dizmas, The Afters, and Thousand Foot Krutch.

Mighty to Save- Hillsong
Sing a Song- Third Day
anything by OC Supertones
Sunny with a high of 75- Reliant K
some old school Petra and Stryper(yeah I said it)

Rick Campbell

I DEFINITELY agree w/ David that there should be a Skillet only expansion pack (gotta incl. Locked in a Cage and Best Kept Secret
though). I'd also want a "classic" expansion pack including Petra, Stryper,REZ, Bloodgood, Whitecross (gotta have some Rex Carroll)
and Whiteheart among others.

Anything Stryper, Phil Keaggy, and a couple of really easy songs for those like me who are guitar hero challenged. (I just want to see Eddie Van Halen's Eruption on if it's not already.)

And to Rick who thinks Christians have better things to do than play video games... Lighten up! Of course we have better things to do than play video games and yet every once in a while we all need to relax. Some people unwind with a video game now and then. Not me mind you cause I stink at it, but some people do. Don't take yourself too seriously, I've been there, it's no fun.

It would be absolutely wonderful if Guitar Hero would come out with this game. We have a boy in our home that really wants one now, but we are not going to bring such bad music into our home. Please , please come out with a christian game soon.

Tina, There IS a Christian Guitar Hero game - it's called Guitar Praise and it's from Digital Praise! Your son is going to be very happy. :)

Guitar Praise hooks up to the PC but everyone I've talked to who has used it really likes it. You can read more on my blog and see what users have said:
http://blog.beliefnet.com/gospelsoundcheck/2008/08/christian-interactive-guitar-p.html
http://www.digitalpraise.com/flash.php

Also, Cloud 9 Games, which makes a Christian karaoke game, is coming out with a new JAMpack, which will hook up instruments ala Rock Band. I don't know a lot about it but here's some more info:

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

There are just about every genre of music out there with Christian influence. I like all kinds of music and really like playing the guitar hero game. I would go absolutly nuts and be very estatic playing Christian songs on the system.
