How in the world can anyone not make noise for God? Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands….Quench not the Holy Ghost…Serving God is like someone putting a keg of dynamite under you…you have got to move. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise…God inhabits the praises of His people… Let everything that has breath “Praise Ye the Lord”. Let’s make some Holy Ghost Noise!

I have no problem with the new style gospel music, but I grew up on the
old southern county gospel music. I am now 44 years old and have been
playing the guitar since I was 12. I play lead guitar with a southern
county gospel band and have saw many souls saved at revivals and singings. The Lord’s Holy Spirit can touch those lost souls through
music as well as preaching.

Right now I’m not involved in alot of community outreach type of things but what I’m really trying to focus on is being able to stand up in front of Christian peers. Even within the youth group at church, not everyone is always there for the right reasons and I want to break away from being part of the crowd of “church-goers” and speak what God speaks to me.
I play guitar for our youth group and and I am one of the older ones. I know I need to portray the right example and that means living, breathing and believing God’s word about being set apart for him-not watching all the media everyone else watches and listening to the latest pop songs.
So, while I’m not really out there in the community making a difference, I am making a difference in my church youth group and when one person takes a stand, others can follow!
by the way Krystal thanks for making such awesome Christian music!!

My way of making noise for God in my community is to live out loud. Let others experience the passion of Christ firsthand by reflecting his love and grace. My husband is a pastor, and I get to serve the Lord in many capacities. After football games students hang out at the house–I’m the student ministries director. And we work to have several block parties a year so that our community, the 12th poorest county in America, knows we love them and so does God. We are blessed to be chosen to serve the Lord in such a place as this in such a time as this! Making noise involves WORDS. Singing. Speaking. Writing. Publicity–putting the spotlight on others who serve the Lord through their words. And making noise involves VOLUME. I’m challenged to makes sure I crank up the volume of my life, to live out loud for God.
Krystal Meyers lives this philosophy through her lyrics and her life. I love her style and her message and it would be cool to win one of her CDs. Thanks!

How do I make some noise? Preaching teaching and running A.M.O.K. Seriously my big thing is encouraging others to use their God given gifts and talents to become what God created them to become. I am preaching to a group of Jr. High kids in a couple of weeks and the possibility really excites me. I am preaching on not conforming to the pattern of the world. should be a great time. I’ll be using some art stuff and whatever else God allows.
God bless,
Dave

Most of my community has gone online in the world of writers, readers, but I make noise by promoting other Christians and their work!(on blogger, Twitter, Facebook) And this goes over into my real time world because I then talk about the latest Christian books with librarians, church groups, neighbors, teachers, someone standing in line at Kmart. I invite people to contact me if they have questions. Since most people around here know I work in books (freelance) with agents, publishers/editors and authors, I’m asked often what I’ve seen or read lately. No one is put off by the Christian aspect and references to God because they get good information about the other aspects, too (like how to get started in writing, etc.)
I work as a state officer in a Christian writers national group, but this summer I went to a general writers conference. I would talk to anyone there about how to approach the agents, editors and talk shop with those at my table, waiting in line, etc. Soon, though, the word got out (organizers of the conference who knew me) that I headed up the state Christian writers, and people made their way to me see if they wanted to join that, too. Influencing your world is as simple as the old song, “Brighten the corner where you are.” I hope, if nothing else, someone walks away from me thinking, “She is really nice.”
I just try to be nice. Or to put it the more violent way–”Kill ‘em with kindness.”
(I really like Krystal’s name. Sounds like a winner to me.)

Besides singing and teaching a class for kids birth-5 at church, I make noise by standing up for my beliefs and not being afraid to be vocal when someone questions me about my beliefs and values. As Christians, we need to be just as comfortable discussing God and His place in our lives with non-believers as we are with believers. I never hesitate to share what God has done for me or my family, no matter who they are or what they may (or may not) believe.
I live in a Bible-belt community where halloween carnivals are “sanctified” as fall festivals, trunk-or-treats, and other “Christian” names for celebrating a pagan holiday. My family will not participate in these events because of our beliefs, and I’m never afraid to share what God has shown our family when confronted about it. Sometimes it’s more eye-rolling and accusation than conversation, but by being loving, tactful and non-judging I can make some noise for God, whispering His “I love you!” to their hearts.
I also try to live compassion and teach it to my kids. Every year, we participate in Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child through our local Mothers of Preschoolers program. We send boxes to children the same ages and genders of my three kids so they learn that they can help someone just like them. My family gets to yell “God loves you!” clear across the world to needy children – how cool is that?!
They say silence is golden. Sometimes the loudest noise is made by the gentlest whisper… or no words at all.

Wow – how do I make noise for God and get the word out – Every day of my life. In my presence and my peaceful demeanor. I became a Christian 3 years ago. When I was at my lowest I got that tap on the shoulder and dropped to my knees. I have been praising his word ever since. I work with children of all ages with mental and behavioral handicaps. I show them my love of Christ every time I see them. I work with the 6th grade Sunday school and I give them a little story about my life and how I want to better theirs through God so they don’t have to have happen to them what had happened to me. I teach them respect for God, themselves and every one around them. I teach them to love God, themselves and others. I also work with the FROG program at church (Fully Relying On God) children of all ages and backgrounds in our community. There are usually an average of 150 kids every Wednesday night for 6 months out of the year. We have brought so many children to God. Last year my entire FROG class got up and went to the front of the church to accept the Lord. I felt how proud God was of me. I also work the VBS program. We have a Bikers for Bookbags program that I work to raise money to give almost 300 kids bookbags and all the supplies they need. We have done this for 3 years now and it is huge and growing as the community gets poorer and poorer. I sing in the choir to bring Gods words to people who may need just those words sung from the heart that day. I also build our church’s parade float with a handful of others every year to praise him and we sing loud and proud on that float to get the word out to the hundreds of people who line the streets and bring them to their feet for Jesus. I have never been so proud to love a man as I have Jesus. HE and my son are the only men in my life. There is no more perfect life to live than a life lived with Christ.
Winning Krystal’s CD and adding her to my Christian CD’s that I listen to daily with the families and the kids would be a great thing. God Bless!
