Surfing around PR Newswire this afternoon, I came across this press release:
WILMINGTON, N.C., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ — The Disney and ABC Family channels are conducting a nationwide search for new, young talent to act in upcoming shows. The Producers are looking for talented, teen-aged comedic actors and actresses to audition for upcoming original movies and television series.
The Southeastern portion of the audition process will be held in Wilmington, North Carolina during the week of November 3 – 7, 2008 at the offices of Fincannon & Associates, Inc., an Emmy-award winning casting company.
If you are a teen-aged boy or girl between the ages of 12 and 17 and have acting, dancing or singing experience, the Producer’s would love to hear from you. If you are interested, please contact Shannon DeAntonio at www.FincannonCasting.Com. Click on the Talent Search Icon, and follow directions to schedule an audition.
Auditionees must be accompanied by a Parent or legal guardian. This is not a guarantee of employment and there is no fee to audition.
I share this because when I was at GMA this past April, an artist manager told me that Disney was actively looking for Christian acts, because they bring the squeaky clean Disney-esque image the company is taking to the bank. So if you’ve been wanting to give acting a shot, this might be your chance. You can find more information at the Finncannon Casting website.
(Disclaimer: I don’t have anything to do with Disney, ABC, or Fincannon Casting. Research the agencies and offers, and proceed at your own risk, OK?)
