Many of you have asked for an update on Rev. Timothy Wright, who was severely injured in a car accident in July that took the lives of his wife and grandson.
I spoke this week with Laurie, my contact with the family, and she gave me some great news.
Rev. Wright has now been completely off the respirator for about three weeks and is breathing on his own. He's also able to move his neck and shoulders, which is progress. Rev. Wright suffered a severe C4 spinal cord injury in the accident and has been unable to move for most of the last several months. The doctors and therapists at Kessler Institute are working now on strengthening is arms.
Even better, Rev. Wright has been able to leave the hospital on Sundays to attend church, which helps keep his spirits up. Laurie tells me that he has a relatively positive attitude, all things considered.
The Wright family and friends are now working on making the reverend's home wheelchair accessible and finding a vehicle that can transport him from place to place. Several more fundraisers are scheduled for October and November, so stay tuned for details.

Has the National COGIC Music Department step to the plate to assist in any way? we COGIC members know the dedication Rev. Timothy Wright has given to not only the church, but the untiring support to the National COGIC Music Department. I pray that something is being done to help. i have been fasting and praying for Rev. Wright since i heard about the accident and will continue to keep him before the Lord for his miraculous healing. I can only imagine the song that he will write and record based on this experience. (what a song)!!!!
I know personally that COGIC Church has been very supportive in ALL ways. To what degree is none of our business. We must never become negative and let satan divide us . Remember united we stand divided we fall.We as a people need to stop thinking about what the other is doing and just do what God tells YOU to do. When it lines up with the word of God then you know that your on the right path.
