This Sunday night, October 26, the Gospel Music Channel will debut the special, "Songs of Soul and Inspiration" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of AARP and honor the musical legacy of the African American church.
The event, which was recorded live at the Philips Arena in Atlant this past June, was directed by Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony award-winning producer and choreographer Debbie Allen and features CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Patti Austin, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan and Shirley Caesar (pictured). Also featured is a unique duet with former lead vocalist for Sounds of Blackness, Ann Nesby, and her granddaughter, 19-year-old Paris Bennett, who was a finalist on season 5 of "American Idol."
