That lady pictured is Lulu Roman from Hee Haw fame. I had lunch with her in Nashville in 2005 and she was the most down-to-earth, “real” person I met while in Nashville at Gospel Music Week. If you think she doesn’t look like the rotund fat girl from Hee Haw nowadays it is because she had her stomach stapled and lost a heckuva lotta weight. This woman deserves an award for her music as well as her life. She is not only hilarious in person — a great sense of humor — but also a dynamic singer with her songs like “Building Up The Wall Like Nehemiah…” You gotta love Lulu!

I was so sorry to see Branson 2010 canceled. I was looking forward to Lulu Roma and McKenzie George singing together. Is there any other concerts planned for them?
