Wow. There went my respect for Michael W. Smith. That’s sad, because I grew up listening to him, and I like a lot of his music. Too bad he actively supports a bullying, un-Christlike war hawk and political revisionist like Sean Hannity. The thought of singing “Hallelujah” in support of someone like that makes me sick to my stomach.

Sean Hannity is raising money for children of fallen soldiers. All proceeds from the concerts to go the children.

Hiya, Joanne. I would like to know when the tour is coming to Atlanta. I went to the last one with my son, Marine LCpl Austin Garrett, as his birthday gift when he turned 19. He was off on a MEU a few weeks later. He is now going to Afganistan (next week) and will not be home until August, so this will be a great Welcome Home gift for him. I am also intersted in the Xmas package. Shalom Y’all – Judy Garrett

Kristen,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m sorry to hear the tickets are already sold out. I was hoping to take my 82 year mother who is a Sean Hannity fan.
If anyone has 2, 3 or 4 tickets (reserved seating) for the San Diego event in 2009 I would like to buy the tickets.
Thanks,

Re Freedom Concerts, 2009: I won’t be able to go. But have suggestion for fans like me. It would be GREAT if the producers made, to be available after the concert season, Cds and DVDs to be sold. I think they’d greatly expand the audience (and revenues!). I’d love to be there in person, but watching a concert on TV from a DVD I purchased would be 2nd-best. Thanks for considering my request.

I was very angry to see people write about being upset that Smith and other perform this concert. Hannity a war supporter or whatever you want to call him. Forget Obama lied about ending the War, that Obama wanted us to pull out and lose. That Obama on three occassions sent a drone into Pak/Afg and several children were killed. The freedom concert is for children like my friends son. His Father a true American hero, gave his life defending this great country. This concert is about America and the people that gave their lives for our Freedom. It is the greatest event held. Its an event that honors the children of our fallen. I am not a country music person, but Im a proud American, a Proud Soldier that on August 8th will not care about anything other than seeing the good Hannity, North and other bring. It is really sad that people who are home safe, who have their parents or children with them today, cant come together for the good of our fallens children. I was seriouly wounded in Iraq and knowing my child has people like Hannity out there is anything happens allows me is a great comfort. For those that will be attending, I apoligize for the politcal remarks, and I thank you for your support to our children. God bless you all and know we appreciate you all SARG, abq nm

To Jake and Daisy. Russia or Cuba would be a very good place to live for the both of you. The USA doesn’t need communists like you two. We have in in the White House, and that’s one too many.

I purchased Golden Package for August 8th concert and we had a blast.
We were so moved by families of fallen heroes and folks around us. You have to be there and feel the atmosphere around you, everyone is like one big family. I am very proud to be an American, especially now when it is not popular.
Sean Hannity and Oliver North are Great Americans. The program they created to help families of our fallen heroes goes beyond good… and for people who are still talking trash like Jake and Daisy, I will say this… you are lucky you do not know what its mean to live in the country like Russia(I was born there and lived half of my life there), where you can disappear without a trace if you start saying things against the government, so shut up and enjoy the freedom here until it will be taken off by your buddy “O”.
SARG, thank you for your services to this Great country and God Bless you all

We loved Michael W Smiths music and were especially moved by his song She Stands along with the video played along with it. We enjoyed the entire show and would love to buy a dvd of the show someday.
