Grammy-nominated rockers Red made history in the Radio & Records when the first radio single, “Fight Inside,” from their upcoming sophomore release Innocence & Instinct debuted at #1 on the R&R Christian Rock chart.
No band has ever had a single debut at #1 on that chart. Ever.
“Christian Radio has been such a backbone for our band,” comments Jasen Rauch, Red’s guitarist and primary songwriter. “We are so overwhelmed by the support they continue to give us, we are so humbled to even have a No. 1 never dreaming we would make history by debuting there. Thank you for your never ending support. We are truly blessed.”
Red blasted onto the music scene with their 2006 debut End of Silence, which sold 250,000 copies and garnered the band several #1 hits and award nominations. A year after its release, the album cracked the Billboard Top 200 chart and lead to tours and shows with Papa Roach, Sevendust, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, Buckcherry, Puddle Of Mudd, Staind, Seether, Kutless, Disciple, Third Day and Switchfoot.
Red is currently touring with Puddle of Mud through November. For tour dates and more info, visit Red’s MySpace page.
