Rev. Timothy Wright preparing to go home in the New Year

posted by Joanne Brokaw | 2:11pm Tuesday December 30, 2008

RevTimothyandBettyWright.jpgJust a quick note to let you know that I heard from Laurie, dear friend of the Wright family and the amazing person who keeps me posted on Rev. Timothy Wright.
Laurie tells me that Rev. Wright has been transferred to a VA hospital on the Bronx, which has his spirits up because he’s closer to home. They think he may be home in another month. He has some feeling but no mobility in his arms; a note on his MySpace page says he does have feeling in his neck, shoulders and hands. Rev. Wright suffered a C4 spinal cord injury in July in an accident that took the lives of his wife Betty and their grandson, DJ.
The Wright family is making preparations for Rev. Wright to come home, and that includes getting a wheelchair and making the home wheelchair accessible. If you’d like to help, you can contact the Wright family at the addresses listed on Rev. Wright’s MySpace page. Please keep the Wright family in your prayers.
