Amani Records, a small indie label located here in Western NY, has released an album called The Ugandan Water Project. The album is designed to help raise money for the Ugandan Water Project, which provides clean water to villages in Uganda. In the video above, you can see the first tank being given to the community in Jinja, Uganda.
You can get a copy of the album, which includes songs from 15 artists, including Beatrice Nsamba, Jesse Sprinkle, Nathan Carey, Elizabeth Painter, Craig Finley, and Gracie (the 10-year-old daughter of Isaiah Six lead vocalist Derek Joseph and singer Heidi Jo), by making a donation of any size to the Ugandan Water Project.
The music is varied, from inspo to to an African song. (I'm a fan of Jesse Sprinkle's music so I particularly like his "The Worthy Slain.")
For more information, you can check out the Ugandan Water Project on MySpace, where you can listen to some of the songs from the album.

Thanks, Samme! We've talked a lot on this blog about how the major artists on Christian radio tend to be the same ones over and over. But with so many shows on international radio, internet radio, and public or community radio, disc jockeys have access to a gazillion and one (or around there, LOL) releases at Heir Chex.
If you're not a disc jockey or radio professional, you can still go to Heir Chex and listen to snippets of new songs being released.
