I haven't said a word all this time.... but I felt that it was time to say a public thank you for your blog. I found it by accident at the very beginning of this season of American Idol - and followed you faithfully ever since....
I remember hearing - sometimes God quiets the storm...and sometimes He quiets the child in the storm....
this ... here now ... is my quiet time....
thank you.

canyayasis - I have to tell you that I really needed to hear that. To be honest, writing sometimes feels like you're all alone and you wonder if anyone is out there, LOL. You have no idea how much I appreciate that you'd take time to read my blog. It's humbling.

THANK YOU!

I can say the same as Canyayasis, I read this blog weekly as well and it is really nice to see a nice recap of the show rather than the bashing you typically see.

Now to comment on this week. I LOVE Allison, she is my favorite idol this season, but I didn't think her performance was anywhere near what she has done. I think Danny was the best followed very closely by Kris. To me Adam is too flashy, yeah he has a good voice but the screaming is getting irritating. I also really liked Lil this week. I thought she sounded very good but she had no personality and this will hurt her. Megan is the only other memorable contestant and I think she is a GREAT singer but she hasn't shown that since hollywood week. If she gets back to what she was doing then she will do really good. But I don't think she will so she should leave.

Thanks, guys! You know, I wondered if anyone was reading the live updates, LOL. I tend to just write off the cuff so you're getting the show, what's going on in my living room, comments from my husband, what commercials they're showing here locally, what the judges are saying.

I almost didn't even blog last night, but I'm glad I did! :)

You all rock!

Joanne,

Again, loved your re-cap. I, like always, watched the show and agreed completely with your take on the contestants. I have absolutely no idea why or how Megan is still in the running. She reminds me of a coffee shop artist. People sitting, talking, only half paying attention to her singing.

Kris, Adam, Danny, and Allison are my favorites (in that order) as of last night.

Looking forward to see what the results reveal.

Great recap again. It's scary how much I agree with you. I think Lambert is a genius. When I heard he was doing play that funky music I freaked. My term for taking a lousy song and trying to make it better is polishing a turd. You can try to make it shiny but at the end of the day it is what it is. (hope that term's not too offensive.) Lambert put such a shine on that one I might actually buy it. Kris Allen was also great.

Hello!
Just want to say thanks for all the updates. I don't live in the US and the earliest broadcast is 12h later, so your blog gives me the rundown on performance night. and of course gives me the results! :)

Does anyone besides me think that the performer? Flo Rider was offensive? He takes an old song, makes it disgusting, looks disgusting and can't even sing. Why is his cd #1? Can anyone explain this to me? There is more talent in the contestants than in this ignorant juice head.

Cyndy, absolutely. I don't get any of it.
