Tonight’s episode of “Ghost Whisperer” will feature the new single “Found” from Phillip LaRue’s upcoming album, Let the Road Pave Itself. The album releases April 7.
And while we’re talking about “Ghost Whisperer” …
I’m a faithful watcher but does anyone else hate the storyline with Jim dying and his spirit going into Sam’s body? It’s ridiculous. The one thing that I always loved about that show – and I know, from a Christian perspective the whole talking to ghosts storyline is nuts, but the show does offer some interesting opportunities to talk about life after death – is the wonderful, loving relationship Jim and Melinda had. You don’t see a lot of good marriages modeled on television, and I always that that alone was worth watching the show.
Then they went and veered off into this stupid story line. If I was producing the show, I’d just admit that they made a mistake, tell viewers that they were having a do-over, and go back to the episode where Jim gets shot and start again.
If I were writing it, I’d have Sam and Jim in the same ER in comas, and have both of them code, and Jim revived but have complete amnesia. Then have him know things about both Jim and Sam, leaving Melinda to question who’s spirit is really in his body. In the end, it would obviously be Jim, but he knows about Sam from stuff he heard while in his coma in the ER. Or maybe the spirits met or something before one went into the light and one came back. But please, let’s just keep her lovely husband just as he is. The whole we see Jim but see Sam’s reflections is stupid.
But I completely digress, as I’m sure you’ve come to expect from me on occasion.
