Southern Gospel Music’s Fan Fair Award Recipients

5thSGMfanfair logo.jpgThe 5th Annual SGM Fan Awards were handed out last week during the Southern Gospel Music FanFair in Pigeon Forge, TN. The event was hosted by Christian Voice Magazine.
The event brought together more than 100 artists for a six-day event that included worship services, performances, and artist meet-and-greet time with fans. The 5th Annual SGM Fan Awards featured highlight performances from a variety of southern gospel artists and announced the recipients of this year’s awards, which were decided by Southern Gospel fans. The winners were:

  • Favorite Male Quartet – Dove Brothers
  • Favorite Mixed Quartet – Perrys
  • Favorite Trio – Karen Peck & New River
  • Favorite Duet – Aaron & Amanda Crabb
  • Favorite Soloist – Ivan Parker
  • Favorite Male Vocalist – Jason Crabb (Soloist)
  • Favorite Female Vocalist – Karen Peck Gooch (Karen Peck & New River)
  • Favorite Band – Singing Echoes
  • Favorite Musician – Jeff Stice (Triumphant Quartet)
  • Favorite Song – God Will Pass By (as recorded and performed by Greater Vision)
  • Favorite Album – My Favorite Place (Greater Vision)
  • Favorite DVD – Pensacola LIVE (Dixie Echoes)
  • Favorite Lead – Gerald Wolfe (Greater Vision)
  • Favorite Baritone – Scott Inman (Triumphant Quartet)
  • Favorite Bass – Lynn Epperson (Singing Echoes)
  • Favorite Alto – Kelly Nelon Clark (Nelons)
  • Favorite Tenor – Michael Booth (Booth Brothers)
  • Favorite Soprano – Kim Hopper (Hoppers)
  • Young Excelling Individual – Eric Dawson (Heirline)
  • New Excelling Artist – Premier Quartet
  • ‘Naomi Sego’ Living Legend Award – Lou Wills Hildreth

In addition to the fan decided awards, the event also honored Mrs. Judy Brannin, of The Brannin Agency, with the Faith Award, which honors an individual and acknowledges the efforts of one who “has labored and endeavored faithfully, selflessly and prayerfully to enhance, improve, promote, build up and otherwise contribute to our beloved Southern Gospel Music Industry and who has been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to his/her fellow industry peers and artists.” The award is decided upon by the staff and management of Christian Voice Magazine, together with the SGM FanFair Board of Directors. Brannin has faithfully served the Southern Gospel community for more than 35 years.
