American Idol Poll: Who Would You Vote For If The Finale Was Today?

Thursday April 30, 2009

This week, bluesy pianist Matt Giraud was sent home in what might have been the best show in a very long time on American Idol. In fact, I've venture to say this was the most talented top 5 we've seen...

I vote for Kris and Danny. As long as one of them wins, I am happy. They are both extraordinary and very talented.

I vote for Adam and Adam only. If Adam were to be eliminated, I probably would still watch but wouldn't vote for any of the remaining contestants, because I like all of them equally well - just not well enough to vote.

But, if someone were to put a gun to my head, and Adam were eliminated and I still HAD to vote, it would be for either Kris or Allison. Although Danny was my second favorite to Adam in the early episodes, I've gotten a little bored with him. Allison really does have a rockin' voice and I feel like she never really got enough credit from the judges; and Kris can sing and play instruments and he's cute and sweet as all get out.

But to choose between those two, hmmm...okay, I choose Allison!

I like them all, honestly. But if I had to pick one, just one... It would be Danny.

Adam, and only Adam. If he left, the show wouldn't be worth watching :]
But I'm going to be voting for him nonstop next week and i think all his fans are too after wednesday night.

Adam is by far the most talented, and most entertaining to watch. To answer your questions:

1) Adam
2) I'd stop watching ... others are so boring
3) Love Matt like a brother, but Adam!

By the way, I forgot to add...

I'm a 42 year old conservative Christian woman. Married, with 2 kids, and pregnant. I still love Adam, he is extraordinarily talented! My husband, and my kids love Adam.

Adam has been my favorite since the start of this season. I am definitely going to be voting non-stop for him next week to keep him safe. I would pay for his music and pay to see him in person. I would not do that for any of the rest.

1) Adam and only Adam

2) I would not be voting for anyone. I don't think anyone else is as
good and I might not even watch but I definitely would not take
time to vote for anyone else.

3) I wasn't voting for Matt - only Adam.

I am a 61 year old grandmother and I think Adam is the greatest. He not only can sing but looked great in doing the Rat Pack songs. He can be a rocker or whatever and he has the talent to pull off any genre.Adam you are # 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam is an outstanding ENTERTAINER. The other contestants (whats their names?) will only have 15 minutes of fame.....and shame on American Idol and Ryan for putting Adam through their "ratings stunt".

i just think each contestant showcases a different style of music. I actually think the top four are equally talented in their own particular genres, but everyone has a different opinion on which genre is the best.

I personally favor Kris and his musical style the most. I would definitely buy an album he put out. So he has my vote all the way.

If he gets voted off (which I fear he might this week, as the theme is "rock week" and I think all the other contestants have a HUGE edge over him on this genre), then I will vote for Allison.

Truth is, for me, once Kris and Allison are gone, I'll probably stop watching. I won't even care who wins.

But if Kris is in the finals, I'll be sooooo excited to tune in!

Adam will win the american idol contest.

Scott
May 1, 2009 1:35 PM

Say what you want, but Adam does not have a good radio voice.

His timbre is not as rich as some of the others, making him sound thin. What propels him, is his theatrical training. He has honed it to fit the idol judges, but if it wasn't for his big "AHHH" each time, he would have been gone some time ago.

That said, I think people will get tired of listening to him, via audio sources only. of course, this is IMO, but I do think I am right on this.

May 1, 2009 5:34 PM

Allison Iraheta is my first choice. She is the underdog of Season 8 but I love her voice and can't wait to hear her each week. She is a humble young teenager that remains true to herself....nothing phoney about Allison. She has a beautiful gift. I like all the others, so I will decide based on their performances each week if Allison goes.

Elaine
May 1, 2009 8:10 PM

Adam should not even have been allowed to participate, since he has been a paid entertainer since he was a child. That's like letting Britney Spears enter Idol !
I personally LOVE Allison's voice, and her age gives her many years to perfect her stage presence. I think it will be between her and Danny at the end. Kris is too mellow to be an all around singer, though his voice is beautiful.

Think Adam is the one and only.Thetralic and crazy vocals fill the concerts.People want more than just seeing their artist standing around. They want show, variety, dance, changes, colours, somebody who dares to be diferent.Adam knows how to reach his audience,he catches men and women, young and old, with personality and charme,he definitely has the looks and expression,is an exellent dancer and the camera loves him.I downloaded his songs and cant get enough from MAD WORLD,RING OF FIRE and,the best of all,FEELING GOOD.Its a wonderful studioversion where everything, until the last note,is just perfect and on his place. So I dont agree that he has no radiovoice.(neither other people,he ocupies 6 spots on the TOP TEN downloads of A.I.-Artists on I tune.)He s very sweet,non-arrogant,humble,open,boyisch and charming in interviews,he s smart, funny, spontainious, has the right answers at the right time and seems to be the sweet neighbours son who offers to walk your dog and carry your groserie. Before and after his performances he s just a guy scared to death. On stage he s home and shows his talent, his enormous voicerange and security. He dares to change,to risk,to improve,to try out.He sings balads that make you cry and gets you on your feet with his rocksongs. After last week I know he can do also jazz..so what do I miss? What else should he bring to be the perfect IDOL?

NEWS FLASH

Allsion already wont 50,000 w/a recording contract in a singing competition so I guess she is comparable to Adam then as far as have prior expierence and she sang all the time as kid - Adam deserves to win AI. Don't get me wrong the all have great voices but Adam he is incredible in every way.

May 2, 2009 8:03 PM

My favorite is Adam, then Allison and Danny. I love Kris, too, I just prefer the other three. If Kris won, though, I wouldn't mind. He would certainly deserve it, as would Adam, Allison or Danny.

Linda
May 2, 2009 8:19 PM

They are all good. My favorite is Adam. Kris is good too and Allison. I like Danny too. They are all talented but my favorite is Adam. I love those crazy vocals. I love when he does the rock songs like Robert Plant and let's out one of those crazy rock yowls at the end!! That my friend is entertainment!!

I would vote for Adam first and foremost, and if he was eliminated, I'd then vote for Kris. Those two singers really resonate with me, and I enjoy their music.

May 3, 2009 9:28 AM

ADAM! I vote for the best singer. I don't let emtions like Danny's Tradgedy or being blind or single parentg things like that get to me.It's an singing/entertainer contest so mAdam is that but others get blinded by the mtional factors and vote for that..not me.

sara
May 3, 2009 9:37 AM

If Adam went home the winner won't get much attention the media would be all about Adam so I would be on the computer rather than watching Idol and reading why and how could Adam lose. Just like I'm doing reading about Adam in the bottem three not much on Matt.

susan edmunds
May 3, 2009 5:57 PM

I would vote for Adam. If he is voted off I will not vote for anyone else because I will not be watching.

Jim
May 3, 2009 6:27 PM

Adam Lambert makes the others, despite their personal appeal, look like the amateurs they are. Yes, they have talent and appeal. Danny and Kris have the nice Christian boy backstory. But Adam is the only really interesting entertainer, not to mention the best vocalist the show may ever have had. He is light years ahead of everyone else. Without him, this show would be a show at Six Flags.

roro
May 3, 2009 7:38 PM

Adam, Adam, Adam. If he wasn't on there I probably would not be voting or even watching. However, so many people are assuming that he's going to win that they are not voting, or else are voting for who they would like to see win. This could cost Adam the competition. There has to be votes for votes to be counted (hint, hint). He's the subject of a lot of controversy, but hasn't harmed anyone and remains very polite and mannerly, as he was well brought up.

May 3, 2009 7:42 PM

Correction, meant to say that people are voting for who they would like to see come in second and third in the finals, in addition to Adam.

Danny all the way. He has such a great way of just picking the right song every week. If he gets eliminated I will vote for Kris. If they both go home I will probably stop voting then. Allison was very impressive with "Papa was a Rolling Stone" but she is still so young.

Never in the history of idol has there been an entertainer at Adam’s level. Even Randy did not get Adams performance when Adam sang “Feeling Good”, by calling it “theatrical”. Adam does not just sing a song, he creates a vibe. I watched Rat Pack week with my old grandmother who was a singer and knew Frank Sinatra. She said she could not believe that in two minutes Adam was able to capture the era as he sang the song. The white tux and the staircase decent were reminiscent of that period in history. Adam will become a legend. On the other hand creepy Danny will be forgotten, as he should be. As an attorney and former criminal prosecutor, the footage of a 29-year-old man rubbing cake all over an underage girl gave me the creeps. If I ever have to see Danny do his vulgar version of a pelvic thrust again, I believe I will vomit.

ALLISON IS SO TALENTED UNFORTUNATELY SHE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE AND SPEAKS SPANISH! THEREFORE PEOPLE TRY TO FIND A REASON OTHER THAN TO NOT VOTE FOR HER...BUT IT DOESNT MATTER BCAUSE SHE MADE IT THIS FAR FOR A REASON...GOD IS JUSTICE!

Iminablizzard

I'd vote for Adam.

If he goes, I'd stop voting altogether because I wouldn't be watching the show - not out of outrage that Adam lost, but because I think AI is (and has always been) boring without his level of talent.

I would wish Allison luck, however, because her hair rocks.

May 4, 2009 9:33 PM

I'm an older woman who was a minister about 20 years ago.
My vote only goes to Adam. His talent is remarkable.
I wish people would understand what this young man is able to bring to the public. The youth have been filled with ideas of what they have to be, and when they don't measure up to that, they're down on themselves.
Too many lost, depressed young people. Adam seems to help them feel like they're okay. You can like yourself, and be comfortable as you are. Isn't that what the youth really need, "to like themselves and be liked for who they are."

1) If the finale were today, which of the final 4 contestants would you vote for: Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, or Allison Iraheta? Adam definitely

2) If that contestant went home next week, who would you vote for next? No one but I'd still watch and root on Danny.

3) If you have been voting for Matt Giraud, who are you going to support now? I have been going for Adam from day 1 but started really getting into Matt early in the season. i don't think he got the cfredit he deserved. I wanted him and Adam to be in the finale.

Hubby and I have been waiting for Adam to sing "Welcome to the Jungle." With Slash there, we were surprised he didn't do a Guns n' Roses song.

Hubby doesn't particularly care for Adam, but agreed he was "da bomb" tonight. ;-)

I agree with Lynne, Danny should leave. However, I think his fan base will keep him in possible.

Kudos to Allison for standing up for herself. She should get merit for that.

ADAM!!! I vote for Adam until my fingers decay!!! If Adam was gone I'd vote for Kris! Anyone but Kereokee Gokey!!!!

And for Scott, who said Adam does not have a Radio voice? Funny how he is the top download with 6 on itunes, with Kris being second.

On the way to BlackHawks Playoff game last week I popped in a CD I made of Adam Lambert, and my 33 year old brother, who never even heard of Adam before this liked "Mad World" so much he bought it off of itunes! That explains alot buddy!

I am a huge Adam fan and only have voted for him. I I'm disappointed Allison did not make the top three as she was my second choice. I think Kris is an amazing talent and any other year the title would be his. Danny is nice and funny with a good voice just not as creative as the others.

sara

I feel this is a easy call. The reason are his talent and he's very sweet. I don't for the personality. It is singing/entertaing contest. I vote for ability and not likebility. I keep that the gossip seperate.
