Brandon Kelso, son of The Dove Brother's pianist Jerry Kelso, was killed this morning in a motorcycle accident in Lexington, Kentucky.
The 22-year-old was riding his motorcycle when, according to a report at MSNBC, the driver of a Jeep Cherokee pulled out in front of him; Kelso slammed into the side of the SUV and was thrown to the pavement. The driver of the SUV was not charged. According to a press release, wet road conditions may have contributed to the accident.
Kelso had recently moved to Kentucky from his hometown of Asheville, NC.
"Our deepest sympathies are with Jerry and his family," says McCray Dove of the Dove Brothers. "Jerry is family to us. We know that Jerry and his family appreciate your prayers and thoughts during this time of grieving."
Please keep the Kelso family in your prayers at this time. You can send cards to:

Dear Kelso Family,
My thoughts and prayers have been with you all day. I will continue to keep you there. Brandon was a great guy. My husband rode with him and I got to be around that warm welcoming smile of his quite a few times. I will miss his energy and sincerity. May God bless you and keep you. I pray that warm sweet memories of Brandon will comfort you in this time of grieving.
Love,
Kara Smith

I had the pleasure of getting to know Brandon when he befriended my son Bryan. He gave Bryan a place to live when he was having some problems. No questions asked, just simply a kind gesture. He was a true friend and a wonderful person. I came to think of him as a son. He always greeted me with a smile and a big hug. He was the one that started my nickname of "Mama J". Bryan has had a lot of friends come into our lives, but none quite as special as "Kelso". He will be missed more than words can say. My heart is breaking, no, it's broke.
