New Reality TV Show from Samaritan’s Purse, “Children’s Heart”

posted by Joanne Brokaw | 6:54am Friday April 24, 2009

Samaritan’s Purse is launching a new reality TV program, but this is incredibly different than anything you’ve seen. The show, “Children’s Heart,” documents the story of three Mongolian youth with life-threatening heart conditions who come to the U.S. for life-saving surgery. Without the help of doctors, here is little hope – and time is running out.The Mongolian parents know they must put their children’s lives in the hands of Samaritan’s Purse staff and American doctors before it’s too late. But the surgeries are risky. And three lives hang in the balance.Join Cissie Graham Lynch, daughter of Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham, as she shares the journey with 18-year-old Uugna, 16-year-old Otga, and 3-year-old Toggie and faces one of the most trying moments of her lifeTop find out if the show airs in your area, visit the Samaritan’s Purse website. The theme song you hear in this trailer is Leeland’s “Tears of the Saints.” It’s a fitting song for a show like this; here are the lyrics:There are many prodigal sons On our city streets they run Searching for shelter There are homes broken down People’s hopes have fallen to the ground From failures This is an emergency! There are tears from the saints For the lost and unsaved We’re crying for them come back home We’re crying for them come back home And all your children will stretch out their hands And pick up the crippled man Father, we will lead them home Father, we will lead them home There are schools full of hatred Even churches have forsaken Love and mercy May we see this generation In its state of desperation For Your glory This is an emergency! There are tears from the saints For the lost and unsaved We’re crying for them come back home We’re crying for them come back home And all your children will stretch out their hands And pick up the crippled man Father, we will lead them home Father, we will lead them home Sinner, reach out your hands! Children, in Christ you stand! Sinner, reach out your hands! Children, in Christ you stand! There are tears from the saints For the lost and unsaved We’re crying for them come back home We’re crying for them come back home And all Your children will stretch out their hands And pick up the crippled man Father, we will lead them home Father, we will lead them homeGet the Gospel Soundcheck headlines delivered daily to your email inbox.
