Vote For The Wrecking's Song "Our Feet Don't Touch The Ground" To Be In The Next Twilight Movie, "New Moon"

Monday June 15, 2009

The song, "Our Feet Don't Touch The Ground," by The Wrecking (one of my favorite groups - both musically and personally), is being considered for use in the next Twilight movie, "New Moon". But to get the gig, they need to get 10,000 fans to vote for their song.

A fan of the band used the song in this YouTube video with clips from the first Twilight movie and it was passed around quite a bit among Twlight fans, so I'm guessing that helped spark this opportunity.

So let's help the band reach their goal! Head over to The Wrecking's website - it's a special page set up just for this - and click the word "vote". You can also download the song for free. Then, spread the word.

And if you haven't heard of The Wrecking, please, please take time to check out their last CD, A New Abolition, as well at the organization they tirelessly support, Love146.

Yeah, I admit it. I'm a huge fan.

Shantha, this is what I tweeted:

The Wrecking's "Our Feet Don't Touch The Ground" being considerd for the Twlight movie "New Moon". Help make it happen! http://bit.ly/707CQ

That bit.ly link takes readers to this post; if you want to go right to The Wrecking's site, just change the link to http://www.thetwilightsong.com/. (Of course, I love it if people come here first, LOL.) Not sure if that'll be over the Twitter character limit or not.

Thanks!
