Vote For The Wrecking’s Song “Our Feet Don’t Touch The Ground” To Be In The Next Twilight Movie, “New Moon”

posted by Joanne Brokaw | 2:45pm Monday June 15, 2009

The song, “Our Feet Don’t Touch The Ground,” by The Wrecking (one of my favorite groups – both musically and personally), is being considered for use in the next Twilight movie, “New Moon”. But to get the gig, they need to get 10,000 fans to vote for their song.A fan of the band used the song in this YouTube video with clips from the first Twilight movie and it was passed around quite a bit among Twlight fans, so I’m guessing that helped spark this opportunity. So let’s help the band reach their goal! Head over to The Wrecking’s website – it’s a special page set up just for this – and click the word “vote”. You can also download the song for free. Then, spread the word. And if you haven’t heard of The Wrecking, please, please take time to check out their last CD, A New Abolition, as well at the organization they tirelessly support, Love146.Yeah, I admit it. I’m a huge fan.For more about The Wrecking, check out the links below and visit the band’s website.RELATED POSTS ABOUT THE WRECKING:“Twilight” Fans Love The Wrecking’s “Our Feet Don’t Touch The Ground”The Wrecking’s Cover Of U2′s “Get On Your Boots” Named Best of YouTubeChristian Music’s Best of 2008Pick of the Week – The Wrecking’s ‘A New Abolition’5 Things You Didn’t Know About Christian Rock Band The WreckingClick here to subscribe to Gospel Soundcheck by email and have the Gospel Soundcheck headlines delivered daily to your email inbox. Shantha, this is what I tweeted:
The Wrecking’s “Our Feet Don’t Touch The Ground” being considerd for the Twlight movie “New Moon”. Help make it happen! http://bit.ly/707CQ
That bit.ly link takes readers to this post; if you want to go right to The Wrecking’s site, just change the link to http://www.thetwilightsong.com/. (Of course, I love it if people come here first, LOL.) Not sure if that’ll be over the Twitter character limit or not.
Thanks!
