mattdiazjonnydiaz.jpgMusic fans have been buzzing about Jonny Diaz’s new album More Beautiful You, and especially about the title cut and video.
When Jonny Diaz headed off to Florida State University in 2002 on a baseball scholarship, it looked like he’d follow in the footsteps of his brothers, who all attended college on baseball scholarships; his older brother Matt Diaz is currently the left fielder for the Atlanta Braves.
But God had other plans. The baseball player turned musician is out with his first label debut – following up three indie projects – and fans are taking notice. The title song and video from the album, “More Beautiful You,” is turning heads for it’s positive message to women about beauty and identity. “The idea that they need to look a certain way in order to be feel beautiful is completely false,” Diaz explains. “Through this song I hope to get the attention of females and tell them the truth found in God’s word, that there could never be a more beautiful you!”
But enough about music. In our weekly Cooking With Christian Music feature, Jonny shares a recipe for his favorite Texas Sheet Cake.
