Free Christian Download From "Glory Revealed II"

Tuesday July 14, 2009

gloryrevealed.jpgThird Day's Mac Powell teamed up with speaker/author David Nasser to provide listeners with truths taken from Scripture in Glory Revealed, one of 2007's most popular albums. And now they're back with Glorly Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship.

The album features 12 original songs written from Scripture during a week-long artist retreat, with vocals from 21 Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel and Country music artists including Mac Powell, Jason Crabb, Mark Hall, Amy Grant, Sara Evans, Shane & Shane, Natalie Grant, Matt Maher and Brandon Heath.

You can have a free download of the song "Since The World Began", featuring Matt Maher, Amy Grant, Ed Cash, Mac Powell, for this week only.

The song is based on Isaih 64:1-9:

Since The World Began
Isaiah 64:1-9 (New Living)
written by Mac Powell and Trevor Morgan
Lead vocals by Matt Maher, Amy Grant, Ed Cash, and Mac Powell

Oh, that You would burst from the heavens
And how the mountains would quake
You would make the nations tremble
All Your enemies would learn of Your fame

How then shall we be saved?
How can we be saved?

Since the world began
No ear has heard, no eye has seen
A God like You
Oh, a God like You
Since the world began
No ear has heard, no eye has seen
A God like You
Oh, a God like You

Like autumn leaves, we all wither (we all fall down)
Swept away by the wind (swept away)
Oh, have mercy on us, Father (Father)
Please don't remember our sins

How then shall we be saved?
How can we be saved?

Oh Lord, You are our Father
We are clay, You are the Potter
We are all formed by Your hand
According to Your plan
Oh Lord, You are our Father
We are clay, but You're the Potter
We are all formed by Your hand
According to Your plan

This is a great song, very powerful and (unbeknownst to me) is taken DIRECTLY from scripture! It seems like Mac Powell has been true to the Word, at least from the projects I've heard him in---take for instance "By His Wounds" that goes "He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our sins..." BAM! straight outta Isaiah 53:5. WORD! Anyways this is a great song, great album in fact. I highly recommend it. Just to listen to the words and the power of those words and because they are from Scripture. To listen and meditate on the Glory and mercy of God. "How then shall we be saved?" Isaiah 64:5. The Son of God in His great love and mercy, our sweet Savior Jesus! That is how. Because God happens to be Grace too. Praise God for being who He is. And another thanks to Worship music. The mandolin drivenness is just another icing on the cake too! Best instrument ever made in my opinion! God Bless!
