Every week, iTickets.com offers new free Christian music downloads. Typically they're from artists you've heard of, or at least I've heard of as a member of the media. But this week, there's a download from an artist I've never heard of, and who I'm having trouble even finding info.
His name is Renier Strydom and I think he's from South Africa. The free download at itickets is for his song, "The One I Love," from his album, Almal Wat Dors Het.

I have no idea what "Almal Wat Dors Het" means, but I think I've found the video for the title track on YouTube. Catchy tune, eh?

I believe Renier Strydom is South African, and sings in Afrikaans as well as English from what I can see. Almal wat dors het means Everyone who has thirsted.
I'm Zimbabwean born, South African citizen in the US, moved here 10 years ago. I don't recognize the city-scape where the video was shot, but it's a big country, about 2 1/2 times the size of Texas so I have not see everything!
I have not managed to find out anything about him either.

Renier Strydom is an upcoming 28 year old guy from Rustenburg in South Africa, he is married and his first child was born on 19 July 2009, just a few days ago. He has just released a cd with the title "Almal wat dors het" that can be found at a couple of music stores in SA but it can also be ordered. for more info you can email me on facebook.
