I wonder why she’s being congratulated. She’s not married, committed fornication, and now she has a baby. I’m so disappointed, she’s supposed to be a Christian.

That’s actually a good point. Truth is, I hear of a baby being born, and I have to rejoice. The congrats just comes from that.
But you do make a good point; is that a good example for her fans?

The both of you are judging. We are all supposed to be christian. Jennifer is not God. God is a forgiven God and he does not pick an choose.

Jennifer Hudson is a role model like it are not. She is not a saint. The young multi-talented artist live her life as she see fit. We all need to pay more attention to our own lives

I am really glad she had the baby.

“Do not judge”…you are not using that verse correctly. Jesus says do not judge if you yourself are doing the same thing. He is not saying that we should not hold folks accountable.
If Jennifer had a baby out of wedlock despite knowing that God forbids it then its disobedience, plan and simple. God has not changed his mind just for the sake of what we tolerate here in America.
I am saddened that most of you here are justifying her behavior, especially assuming that you are christians. It shows how much we devalue God’s word today and will reduce it to conform to our culture and what we desire to do.
Not that we should not rejoice at any newborn baby..but we should not give the appearance that we are ok with her behavior.
Lets ask this question, if any of you have read apostles Pauls epistles and what he wrote in response to reports of sin..what would apostle Paul write about this and the state of the current church in America?
The ways of the present day culture and everything it tolerates has no bearing on God’s word because God’s word will last forever– God’s word should change culture and not the other way around..but unfortunately we have Christians like some of the commenters here who in the name of Christianity, conform to the standards of the world and make a mockery of God’s grace and forgiveness. Romans 6:1 asks the question– should we continue in sin just because of God’s grace?..And it goes on to say– “absolutely not!” God’s forgiveness or Grace is not a license for us to engage in any behavior that we want. It is one thing to make a mistake..we fall down and we get up for sure. God is just and able to forgive us of any sin. But it is another thing to do whatever we want just because God will forgive us. The Bible also says be not decieved God is not mocked…what a man sows he reaps.
We must agree with the things that God’s loves and disagree with the things that God hates. God is not neutral between rghteousness and sin..and neither should we be.
What he allows and forbids is clear..whether you are a regular person or a celebrity. Who can disagree with God’s word. In my opinion..beliefnot should be so excited about the news. Yes I am excited about the news of a new born baby..all babies are gifts from God..but my excitement is tempered by the fact that this is an indictmant on the church and our willingness to conform to the world.

I am far from perfect, but do try to live as God commands us. What shocks me in these types of situations is that how can someone go on Christian talk radio professing to know Christ and enter into an ongoing premarital sexual relationship, which results in having a baby out of wedlock. If you’re going to profess your faith publicly, famous or not, and then live as the world lives, people will notice. We do serve a loving and forgiving God, but He is also righteous and just and cannot tolerate sin. And although we are coverd by the blood of Jesus and saved by grace, it is not to be taken lightly and it certainly not a free license to continue in sin. There are a lot of things that my flesh would just love to do, but I don’t do these things because I know that it would grieve the Holy Spirit of God. I just don’t understand professing Christianity and living no differently than the world.
